Primary Schools
Solardomes for growing schools can be used in a variety of innovative ways at primary school level.
At this age children learn best through experiences and interactive sessions. Using an interesting outdoor classroom can help to increase participation and engagement with the subjects being taught. The domes are ideal for outdoor school projects, they provide unique ways in which to teach primary school science and growing skills.
Battlefield Primary School in Glasgow uses the dome for science, environmental studies and as a school greenhouse. Pupils are also rewarded for good behaviour with ‘golden star’ activity time in the dome.

"We all love our dome... Bruce Cowan was fabulous when he arranged speedy delivery and construction within our short timeframe. We have held a flower show (all the children planted flowers) and a market the following year (all the children planted veg). It has been well used."
